Finance Controller - SaaS

ABOUT THE CLIENT:

- Our client is a fast growing AI venture focussed on US market funded by leading VC firms.

BACKGROUND TO THE ROLE:

- This role owns controllership, compliance, reporting, audits, and financial operations end-to-end and plays a key part in supporting fundraising, acquisitions, and growth plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Financial Controls & Reporting: Build and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, Strengthen internal controls across payables, receivables, revenue recognition, procurement, and approvals.

- Taxation, Compliance & Audit: Lead statutory audits, internal audits, GST filings, TDS, ROC filings, US entity filings, and coordinate with external CA/CPA firms

- Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning: Build annual operating plan, departmental budgets, and rolling forecasts.

- Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Own cash flow planning, vendor payments, receivables management, and credit cycles.

- Investor & Board Support: Prepare monthly investor updates, financial packets, fundraising data rooms, and diligence materials.

EXPERIENCE:

- 6-10 years of experience in controllership, finance operations, FP&A, or audit in high growth startups.

- Strong grounding in Indian accounting standards, and exposure to US GAAP is a plus.

- Experience working with multi-entity structures (India + US preferred).

- Comfort with MIS, budgeting, cash flow planning, and financial modeling.

- Proficiency with tools like Zoho Books/QuickBooks, Excel/Sheets, MIS dashboards.
