Finance Controller - Retail Finance

Position Title: Finance Controller / Head of Retail Finance

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Managing Director

Industry Focus: Retail, QSR, or Omnichannel Commerce Financial Operations

- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable workflows.

- Oversee general ledger and monthly close processes.

- Integrate and reconcile point-of-sale (POS) data systems.

- Monitor daily cash flow and working capital needs.

Inventory & Margin Control:

- Oversee inventory turnover, shrinkage, markdown pricing impacts, and supply chain holding costs while evaluating store-level profitability.

Planning & Analysis:

- Direct annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and key retail performance tracking (like GMROI and same-store sales).

Compliance & Audits:

- Handle tax filings (GST and income tax), coordinate internal and external audits, and maintain internal controls across store locations.

Key Requirements:

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance with 5 - 12 years of retail finance experience.

Skills: Advanced Excel, SAP/Business Central, POS software, and strong leadership/communication abilities.
