Finance Controller - Real Estate/Telecom/Construction Business

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Finance Controller to lead the financial operations for our Real Estate/Telecom/Construction business based in Mumbai. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the financial backbone of the organization, overseeing the entire accounting lifecycle, ensuring rigorous internal controls, and driving strategic fiscal planning. You will work closely with the leadership team, project heads, and external stakeholders to translate complex operational data into actionable financial insights. By maintaining impeccable financial integrity and optimizing capital allocation, you will directly influence the company's profitability, liquidity, and long-term growth trajectory in a highly competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct the end-to-end financial reporting process to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and provide the board with a transparent view of organizational performance.

- Spearhead the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting cycles to align departmental spending with the company's overarching strategic objectives.

- Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate project feasibility, investment risks, and return on capital for new infrastructure or real estate ventures.

- Implement robust internal control frameworks to mitigate financial risks and safeguard company assets across diverse project sites.

- Manage treasury operations and working capital requirements to ensure optimal cash flow management across high-value construction or telecom projects.

- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to monitor cost variances and implement corrective measures that protect project margins.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in Financial Control and complex accounting standards, specifically tailored to the nuances of the Real Estate, Telecom, or Construction sectors.

- Proven ability to build and maintain complex Financial Models that support high-stakes decision-making and long-term capital planning.

- Strong proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting, with a track record of managing multi-crore budgets and delivering accurate variance analysis.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial narratives to non-finance stakeholders and executive leadership.

- A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or an MBA in Finance from a premier institute is highly preferred.

- High degree of adaptability and professional maturity, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Mumbai that requires hands-on leadership and strategic oversight.
