Finance Controller - Private Equity Firm

Job Description:

This is a critical role that will oversee operational finance tasks. The Finance Controller will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing guidance to a small finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private equity and asset management, with a focus on operational execution and great knowledge of AIFs

Client Details:

Leading private equity firm with plans to grow in the next couple of years. It has its presence globally as well.

Description:

- Oversee operational finance tasks, including investor reporting, banking relationships, and deal acquisitions.

- Negotiate and finalise financial documents and draw downs.

- Manage relationships with investors and ensure timely responses to queries.

- Ensure compliance with taxation regulations and manage tax notices.

- Assist in fund structuring and fund raising efforts.

- Provide guidance and support to the finance team, fostering a collaborative work environment.

- Review financial reports and ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

- Manage entity operations and stakeholder relationships effectively.

Profile:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred; MBA in Finance will also be considered.

- 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance, specifically within private equity or asset management.

- Strong understanding of AIF (Alternative Investment Fund) and FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) regulations.

- Proven experience in operational finance roles, with a focus on execution rather than consulting or marketing.

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
