Role Mandate

We are hiring a Finance Controller to lead and transform the finance operations of a multi-specialty hospital.

The mandate is to strengthen governance, drive FP&A rigor, improve working capital, and integrate fragmented systems, while managing a long-tenured team and partnering closely with an execution-driven COO.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Operations & Controls:

- Oversee accounting, billing controls, revenue cycle, payables/receivables, payroll, and compliance

- Strengthen internal controls and reporting accuracy

FP&A & Business Partnering:

- Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis

- Build specialty- and department-level profitability models

- Partner with COO on cost optimization and throughput improvement

Automation & Systems Integration:

- Integrate existing HIS, billing, ERP, procurement, and inventory systems

- Reduce manual reporting and improve dashboard visibility

- Work with IT and vendors to streamline finance processes

Working Capital Management:

- Improve collections (including TPA/insurance receivables)

- Optimize inventory and vendor cycles

- Enhance liquidity visibility and discipline

Team Leadership & Change Management:

- Lead a long-standing finance team (15-20 years tenure)

- Drive accountability, performance metrics, and cultural shift

- Manage resistance constructively while maintaining stability

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 10-15+ years finance experience; 5+ years in hospital finance preferred

- Strong exposure to hospital revenue cycle and healthcare KPIs

- Advanced FP&A capability (budgeting, scenario modelling, margin analytics)

- Proven track record in automation and system integration

- High emotional intelligence and ability to manage legacy teams

- Assertive yet collaborative; comfortable working with a high-performance COO

- Execution-oriented and aligned to CFO-led transformation initiatives
