Finance Controller - Manufacturing Plant

Description:

The Manufacturing Plant Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the plant, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and effective cost management. This role partners closely with plant operations to drive financial performance, support strategic decisions, and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the plant

- Monitor plant performance against budgets and forecasts

- Ensure accurate cost accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis

- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes

Cost Control & Analysis:

- Analyze manufacturing costs, material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives

- Monitor inventory valuation and ensure proper controls over stock

Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with plant leadership

- Track and report variances with actionable insights

- Support capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis

Compliance & Internal Controls:

- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

- Maintain strong internal controls over financial processes and inventory

- Support internal and external audits

Business Partnering:

- Collaborate with plant managers and operations teams to drive financial performance

- Provide financial insights to support decision-making and operational improvements
