About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller to lead and manage the financial operations at GBL. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in finance and compliance, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including General Managers across the organisation.

Candidates from gaming or tech-product companies will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

- Manage GST, FEMA, and Income Tax filings, compliances, and assessments.

- Oversee monthly MIS closing, financial reporting, and consolidation.

- Ensure compliance with IND-AS standards and oversee statutory requirements.

- Collaborate closely with external auditors, including Big 4, and handle audit planning, coordination, and closure.

- Drive improvements in financial processes, internal controls, and reporting frameworks.

- Provide strategic financial insights and partner with GMs to support business decision-making.

- Monitor financial performance, budget variances, and key metrics to ensure financial discipline across teams.

Requirements:

- 10 - 12 years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, and Controllership roles.

- A CA qualification is mandatory.

- Prior experience in gaming or tech-product organisations is preferred.

- Strong exposure to GST, FEMA, Income Tax, IND-AS, MIS closing, and Big 4 audit closure.

- Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional leaders.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.

- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
