Finance Controller - FinTech - CA

About the Role:

We are hiring a Finance Controller for a rapidly growing, venture-backed fintech company that is redefining financial services for consumers in India. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys building processes from the ground up, driving financial discipline, and partnering closely with business leaders in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end accounting, controllership, and monthly/annual financial close processes.

- Ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit readiness.

- Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial processes to support scale.

- Lead external audits, due diligence exercises, and investor-related financial requirements.

- Manage treasury operations, reconciliations, and cash flow reporting.

- Partner with leadership teams on business planning, process improvements, and finance transformation initiatives.

- Drive automation and operational excellence across the finance function.

Ideal Candidate:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 6+ years of post-qualification experience.

- Strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, audits, compliance, and controllership.

- Experience working in a high-growth startup, fintech, or PE/VC-backed environment is preferred.

- Big 4 articleship or prior consulting/audit experience will be an advantage.

- Demonstrated ability to build scalable finance processes and operate effectively in an evolving business environment.

- Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and execution capabilities.
