Core Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closure processes.

- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS/Ind-AS/GAAP.

- Ensure timely and accurate statutory filings and regulatory reporting specific to fintech/financial services.

- Manage interactions with internal and external auditors and ensure audit readiness and compliance.

- Ensure adherence to tax regulations (direct, indirect, GST, TDS) and manage related compliance.

Accounting & Internal Controls:

- Own the general ledger, accounting policies, and overall financial governance framework.

- Oversee revenue recognition, expense tracking, reconciliations, and overall accounting hygiene.

- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, risk management practices, and financial processes.

- Implement and maintain robust documentation and compliance with accounting standards.

Regulatory & Fintech Governance:

- Coordinate financial regulatory submissions required for fintech, payments, lending, or NBFC operations.

- Support reporting obligations to regulators, partners, and financial institutions.

- Ensure compliance with evolving fintech regulatory norms and industry best practices.

Systems, Automation & Data Accuracy:

- Oversee financial systems including ERP optimization, and automation of financial processes.

- Drive improvements in financial data accuracy, reporting dashboards, and reconciliation tools.

- Collaborate with Product & Engineering teams to ensure proper financial data flow within the fintech platform.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Work closely with Operations, Risk, Legal, Product, and Business teams to support decision-making from an accounting and compliance perspective.

- Provide insights on financial governance implications of new products, partnerships, or process

changes.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory

- 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and controlling roles.

- Experience in fintech, payments, lending, NBFCs, or financial services is strongly preferred.

- Strong understanding of Ind-AS/IFRS, financial controls, auditing, and compliance.

- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial automation tools.
