Finance Controller - CA  Job Purpose :  - Lead, plan, strategies, and manage the Financial Accounting & Taxation function.  - Ensure business strategies are in sync with the overall company strategies and the department is aligned accordingly.  - Be the conscious keeper of the organization.  - Build the department to be agile towards environmental changes, business evolutions, legal and taxation changes and economic changes.  - Ensure department is future ready.  Roles and Responsibilities - Department & Team :   - Build the financial structure for the entire organization to ensure checks and balances and adequate controls.  - Formulate policies and processes to ensure the above.  - Work towards having the right team with right skills.  - Drive performance management and build capabilities by identifying developmental goals for all direct reports and contribute to their learning.  Financial Accounting :  - Establish compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.  - Monthly / Quarterly / Half-yearly and annual closure of Books of Accounts as per IGAAP and USGAAP.  - Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management and petty cash.  - Ensure optimal policies and procedure for all Account Payable operations  - Strong overview of the plant finance operations.  Banking & Treasury :  - Treasury management through Fund & Forex management, liaisoning with banks, Working capital and Cash flow management.  - Ensuring optimal placement of excess cash to generate maximum returns  Taxation:  - Develop and implement efficient and compliant tax strategy and model and lead direct and indirect tax planning initiatives.  - Filing of return, direct and indirect taxation, including GST compliance including for the tax free zone.  Compliances:  - Ensure compliances as per regulatory & statutory requirements & corporate laws  - Internal Control and Financial control assurance activities - IFCs, SOX Compliances, Risk Management etc.  - Compliances management as stipulated under various laws applicable on the company.  - Accountable for policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secured and compliant with current legislation.  Audit:  - Lead Internal Audit and liaison with the Audit Committee and the external Auditors.  - Drive successful execution of Statutory Audit  Education: Chartered Accountant  Experience: 11-13 of relevant experience in Financial accounting domain.  Knowledge & skills :   - Excellent working knowledge of Accounting policies, manuals & taxation provisions  - Ability to lead and drive important business projects  - Individual with high degree of EQ  - Highly energised, motivated & commitment  - Excellent interpersonal, people management and development skills  - Strong customer focus and service orientation  - Working knowledge of legal provisions  - Ability to work with cross functional teams  - Knowledge of an ERP, preferably JD Edwards
