Finance Controller - CA

Description:

We are looking for a results-driven and confident financial manager to manage and improve our organization's financial performance and direct our accounting operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers, be highly organized, and have excellent leadership skills. Reporting to the Director Finance and Accounts, the noteworthy Financial Manager should lead the accounting assurance role, provide solid financial analysis and reports, promote regulatory compliance, ensure smooth auditing and taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Reporting:

- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements

- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll

- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance

Compliance and Audit:

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations

- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and financial reviews

Team Management:

- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams

- Develop team skills and improve departmental efficiency

Strategic Financial Support:

- Provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making

- Evaluate financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them

Cash Flow and Treasury Management:

- Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency

- Oversee investments, banking relationships, and funding arrangements

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications & Experience:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and financial operations.

- Proven track record in managerial or controller roles, including 2+ years of leading teams of 5 or more.

- Preferred: Experience working with Section 8 organizations and FCRA-compliant entities.

Core Competencies:

- Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, ERP systems, or similar platforms, along with advanced Excel skills

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities

- Effective communicator with proven leadership and team management skills
