Role Overview :

As the Finance Controller, you will be accountable for maintaining financial discipline, ensuring statutory compliance, and delivering accurate reporting for one of our clients. You will manage accounting, internal controls, audits, MIS, and regulatory filings, while enabling business growth through strong governance. This role demands a detail-oriented, hands-on professional who can strike the right balance between compliance and agility in a dynamic, fast-scaling environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end closing.

- Ensure timely and precise preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

- Establish and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and SOPs.

- Prepare MIS reports and dashboards for leadership review.

Audit, Tax & Compliance

- Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits; ensure compliance with Indian GAAP and Ind-AS/IFRS.

- Manage accurate and timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, and other statutory returns.

- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

- Monitor receivables, payables, and credit control processes.

- Oversee timely vendor payments, customer collections, and treasury operations.

- Track and manage cash flows to support business efficiency.

Budgeting & Cost Management

- Support annual budgeting, variance analysis, and cost optimization initiatives.

- Collaborate with business units to monitor expenses against budgets and flag potential risks.

Qualifications & Skills

- Chartered Accountant (mandatory).

- 10 to 12 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.

- In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, tax laws, and regulatory frameworks.
