Finance Controller & Company Secretary

Location: Chennai

We are looking for an experienced Finance Controller & Company Secretary to lead finance controllership, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and company secretarial functions for a fast growing new age manufacturing organization with Indian and international entities.

Please Note: CA + CS qualification is mandatory, along with prior experience in the manufacturing industry. Fluency in Tamil is also mandatory for this role. Please do note this is a fast paced high growth organization so needs someone who wants to join that.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead monthly financial closing, Balance Sheet, P&L, and management reporting/MIS.

- Oversee accounts payable, inventory accounting, Capex, fixed assets, and reconciliations.

- Manage cash flow forecasting, banking operations, and payment approvals.

- Ensure timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, RBI, and other statutory compliances.

- Lead statutory and tax audits and coordinate with external auditors and consultants.

- Oversee payroll accounting and related statutory compliances.

- Manage Company Secretarial compliance under the Companies Act, including Board-related documentation and filings.

- Support investor reporting, due diligence, and fundraising-related requirements.

- Work closely with the CFO and senior leadership on financial controls, governance, budgeting, and business reporting.

- Develop and maintain finance SOPs, policies, and internal control frameworks.

Ideal Candidate:

- Qualified CA and Company Secretary (CS) - Mandatory.

- 8+ years of relevant experience in finance controllership, accounting, and compliance.

- Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is mandatory.

- Strong hands-on experience in financial reporting, month-end closure, taxation, audits, and statutory compliance.

- Experience managing end-to-end finance operations and preferably multi-entity accounting.

- Fluency in Tamil is mandatory.

- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work closely with senior leadership.

- Experience handling inventory, Capex, fixed assets, and manufacturing-related financial processes will be preferred.
