Role Overview

The Finance Controller will be responsible for managing the companys financial reporting, controls, compliance, and governance framework. The role will work closely with the CFO and business leadership to ensure financial discipline, accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and regulatory compliance across corporate and field operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Control

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Oversee books of accounts, general ledger, and closing processes.

- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting standards (Ind AS).

Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS

- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.

- Prepare detailed MIS reports for management, highlighting key financial and operational metrics.

- Track variances and provide actionable insights to business teams.

Compliance, Audit & Governance

- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act).

- Manage internal and external audits; act as the primary point of contact for auditors.

- Strengthen SOPs, risk controls, and governance frameworks across the organization.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

- Monitor cash flows, liquidity, and working capital cycles.

- Optimize receivables, payables, and inventory controls, especially across supply chain and field operations.

- Support treasury activities, banking relationships, and fund utilization.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

- Partner with business heads to evaluate financial viability of new initiatives, products, and expansions.

- Support pricing, margin analysis, and cost optimization initiatives.

- Provide financial inputs for strategic decision-making.

Systems & Process Improvement

- Drive automation and improvement of finance processes through ERP and financial systems.

- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and reports.

- Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounts team.

- Auditors, Banks, and External Advisors

Ideal Candidate Profile -

1. Education: MBA in Finance or CA qualification (MUST HAVE).

2. Experience: 12 - 15 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, and controllership roles.

3. Experience in Agritech, FMCG, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Retail, or high-growth startups preferred.

4. Hands-on experience with multi-location operations and complex supply chains.
