Finance Controller - Agri MNC | 10-15 years | CA

Role Overview:

As the Finance Controller for our Agri MNC, you will be the financial backbone of our operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. You will oversee all accounting functions, manage financial reporting, and provide insightful analysis to support business decisions. This role collaborates closely with the leadership team, operational managers, and external auditors, playing a critical role in driving profitability and sustainable growth within the organization. Your expertise will directly impact the company's financial health and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and inventory management, to ensure accurate and timely financial records.

- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP, providing insightful variance analysis to management.

- Develop and maintain robust cost accounting systems to accurately track production costs, identify areas for improvement, and support pricing decisions.

- Manage the company's treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and investment strategies, to optimize liquidity and minimize financial risk.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including direct and indirect taxes, and manage tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax burden.

- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial targets.

- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.

- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and maintain strong relationships.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in accounting principles (IFRS and local GAAP), financial reporting, cost accounting, treasury management, and taxation.

- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.

- Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within the agricultural sector.

- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with significant experience in a multinational corporation, preferably within the agriculture industry.
