Role Overview:

As the Finance Controller, you will be the financial backbone of our Mumbai operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting. You will collaborate closely with the leadership team, department heads, and external auditors to provide insightful financial analysis, drive strategic decision-making, and maintain a robust internal control environment. Your work will directly impact the company's financial health, compliance, and overall success by providing accurate and reliable financial information for informed business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.

- Develop and manage the annual budget and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to create realistic and achievable financial plans that align with the company's strategic objectives.

- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and trend analysis, to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to management for optimizing financial performance.

- Implement and maintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.

- Manage the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation to ensure a smooth and efficient audit.

- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to foster their professional development and ensure high-quality work.

- Identify and mitigate financial risks, developing and implementing risk management strategies to protect the company's assets and financial stability.

- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems, identifying opportunities to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and improve the accuracy and reliability of financial information.

- Support strategic financial planning initiatives, providing financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, and other strategic opportunities.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting processes.

- Proven expertise in financial analysis, internal control, audit, and risk management.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a team.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) is preferred.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

- Comfortable working in an on-site environment in Mumbai.
