Finance Controller

Position Title: Finance Controller

Reports to: CFO

Relevant Experience: 10 to 15 years

Education/Preferred Qualifications: Chartered Accountant

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Ensure accurate accounting, reporting, compliance, and governance across all business units

2. Lead the statutory audits, internal audits, and risk management frameworks

3. Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, taxation, and corporate governance standards

4. Ensure compliance with SEBI and Companies Act related regulations/ compliances

5. Timely and accurate submissions to the Management and Board of Directors

6. Stay updated with all regulatory changes & update management on implications of the same

7. Financial controls - monitor and review account balances and movements on a regular basis to ensure validity and correctness

8. Internal controls framework - lead the controls and operational risk agenda for finance

9. Partner with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and expansion plans

10. Drive the finance functions business continuity policy and implementation of the same

11. Prepare regular dashboards to monitor accurate reporting and controls

12. Drive cost optimization, working capital management, and profit improvement initiatives

13. Mentor and develop the finance team once the team has been set up

Core Competencies:

1. Control mindset with a strong expertise in corporate finance, accounting standards, and compliance

2. Experience in managing cross-border operations and multi-entity reporting

3. Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft office and other automation tools

4. Good understanding of accounting and finance systems

5. Data presentation and communication skills

6. Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle complex situations
