What You Will Do
Financial Leadership & Governance
- Lead and manage the complete Finance & Accounts function including accounting, taxation, treasury, costing, budgeting, and reporting.
- Establish strong financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
- Act as a strategic finance partner to the MD/CEO, providing insights to support business decisions and growth plans.
Accounting, Reporting & Controls
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
- Oversee preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Drive MIS, management dashboards, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
Taxation & Compliance
- Own direct and indirect tax compliance including GST, income tax, customs, and other applicable regulations.
- Manage audits, assessments, notices, and interactions with tax authorities and statutory auditors.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, FEMA (if applicable), and other regulatory frameworks.
Budgeting, Planning & Cost Management
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Monitor costs, margins, working capital, and cash flows to drive operational efficiency.
- Implement robust costing and inventory control mechanisms suited to a manufacturing environment.
Treasury & Working Capital Management
- Manage cash flow planning, banking relationships, credit facilities, and fund utilization.
- Optimize working capital through effective receivables, payables, and inventory management.
Team Leadership & Process Excellence
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounts team.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and system strengthening (ERP / accounting systems).
- Ensure strong coordination with operations, supply chain, sales, and external stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA); CMA / MBA (Finance) is an added advantage.
- 20-25 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in chemicals, manufacturing, or process industries.
- Strong expertise in accounting, taxation, audits, budgeting, costing, and financial controls.
- Proven experience in leading end-to-end finance functions and managing statutory and tax compliance.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate numbers into strategic insights.
- Hands-on leader with excellent stakeholder management and team-building skills.
