Finance Controller - US MNC - Faridabad
Job Description:
General Accounting:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing in compliance with accounting standards (IND AS / IFRS as applicable).
- Maintain fixed assets register, depreciation schedules, and ensure proper capitalization of assets.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes; ensure timely vendor payments and customer collections.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis (budget vs. actuals).
- Support in preparation of annual financial statements and schedules for statutory audit, internal audit, and tax audit.
- Ensure adherence to SOX controls and internal control processes across accounting and finance functions.
- Assist in compliance with statutory requirements under Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other applicable laws.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:
- Support in direct and indirect taxation matters including GST returns, TDS compliance, and coordination with consultants.
- Ensure compliance with RBI/FEMA-related reporting as applicable.
Process Improvement & Cost Control:
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and treasury processes for greater efficiency and transparency.
- Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial data integrity.
Cash Flow & Banking / Treasury Role:
- Prepare and monitor daily cash flow (actuals) and weekly/monthly cash flow projections to ensure liquidity and effective working capital management.
- Analyze cash inflows and outflows to forecast short-term and long-term funding requirements.
- Liaison with banks for day-to-day operations, credit facility renewals, loan documentation, and compliance reporting.
- Manage interest payments, loan amortization schedules, debt repayments, and voluntary prepayments.
- Prepare and submit monthly stock statements, financial follow-up reports (FFR), and covenant compliance certificates as required by lenders.
- Track borrowing notices and continuation of debt obligations; ensure timely execution of loan agreements and drawdowns.
- Work with business teams (Marketing, Logistics, Operations) for smooth flow of documents to banks (LCs, BGs, export-import documents, etc.).
- Evaluate and recommend cost reduction opportunities related to interest expenses, transaction charges, and bank service fees.
- Assist in monitoring foreign exchange exposures and compliance with FEMA guidelines (EDPMS/IDPMS).
