Finance Associate - Operations - Venture Capital Fund - CA

Our client, a leading venture capital fund, is hiring talent for its finance team in Gurugram.

Core Responsibilities :

- Support basic accounting, payment processing, and bookkeeping for manager entities and fund operations.

- Assist in capital calls, distributions, management fee calculations, and fund reporting across fund entities

- Coordinate investor onboarding paperwork (KYC/AML, subscription agreements, side letters) with fund administrators and legal counsel; maintain records for all investor documentation

- Coordinate with offshore fund administrators for all administrative and operational activities across fund structures.

- Manage invoicing workflows for employees, consultants, and service providers - ensure timely processing, approval routing, and payment execution

- Handle foreign exchange conversions for cross-border capital flows (drawdowns, investments, distributions) and maintain FX documentation.

- Manage fund treasury operations: cash positioning, bank account coordination, short-term deployment of idle capital, and liquidity planning across fund entities.

- Assist the fund administrator with ongoing SEBI AIF compliance including periodic filings, reporting obligations, regulatory updates, and documentation applicable to AIF and manager entities

- Maintain compliance calendars and ensure no filing deadlines are missed.

- Coordinate annual and periodic audit processes across portfolio entities - manage information requests, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure audit timelines are met

Skills & Attributes :

- 3-5 years of experience in fund operations, fund accounting, compliance, or financial operations at a VC/PE fund, fund administrator, audit firm, or financial services company.

- CAs with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

- Working knowledge of SEBI AIF regulations, fund accounting principles, and investor servicing workflows. You don't need to be a regulatory expert, but you need to know enough to not miss things.

- Interest in investment funds, compliance, and financial operations.
