Finance Associate - Fixed Assets

Key Responsibilities:

Fixed Asset Management:

- Track and maintain records of all fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.

- Ensure accurate asset capitalization, depreciation, and impairment calculations in compliance with accounting standards.

- Coordinate the periodic physical inventory of fixed assets and resolve discrepancies.

Depreciation and Amortization:

- Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization entries for fixed assets.

- Prepare reports on asset depreciation, adjustments, and revaluations.

Asset Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare and analyze fixed asset reports for internal and external stakeholders.

- Assist in financial audits and provide necessary documentation related to fixed assets.

- Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

- Ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).

- Assist in maintaining internal controls over fixed asset management processes to prevent fraud or misstatements.

- Work closely with other finance team members, departments, and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely processing of fixed assets.

- Support procurement and operations teams in asset capitalization processes.

System Management:

- Utilize financial software (ERP or Fixed Asset Management system) to maintain and update asset records.

- Recommend and implement improvements to fixed asset tracking systems to improve efficiency.
