Description:

Our client, a leading global consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting professional to support a large-scale digital transformation program for a public sector life insurance organisation in India. The engagement is part of a broader initiative focused on building an enterprise data lake and enabling advanced reporting and analytics use cases across the organisation.

The consultant will play a key role in reimagining and redesigning finance and regulatory reporting processes, helping translate business and regulatory requirements into structured reporting frameworks and operational processes. Working closely with business teams, IT stakeholders, and system integrators, the consultant will help define the future-state reporting architecture and operating model for finance and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reimagine and design finance and regulatory reporting frameworks, including report formats, data aggregation structures, and supporting processes/SOPs

- Assess current reporting processes and systems, including backend workflows and technology architecture, and define the future-state (to-be) processes and reporting logic

- Develop detailed design documentation for the future-state reporting framework, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with digital architecture initiatives

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, IT departments, and relevant functional groups to define and obtain sign-off on the redesigned reporting processes and outputs

- Work closely with system integrator teams, including business analysts and solution architects, to walkthrough design specifications, clarify requirements, and validate implementation understanding

- Support stakeholder alignment and project governance through formal presentations, workshops, and structured discussions with senior stakeholders

Your Background:

- Strong experience in Finance & Accounting, ideally as a Chartered Accountant or equivalent finance professional

- Prior exposure to finance transformation, regulatory reporting, or enterprise reporting frameworks

- Preferred experience in the life insurance sector, particularly within regulatory or financial reporting environments

- Experience working on large-scale transformation or digital programs involving data, reporting, or analytics platforms

- Ability to manage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including business, IT, and external implementation partners

- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills, with experience presenting in formal project governance forums

Other Details:

This is a full-time consulting engagement based in Mumbai, with the consultant expected to work primarily on-site with the client team. The project is expected to start as soon as possible in March and has an initial duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements
