Finance & Accounts Controller - CA

Description:

We are looking for a Finance & Accounts Head to lead our finance controllership function. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for establishing a strong financial backbone across India and Singapore operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 56 finance professionals.

- Build a culture of ownership, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Accounting & Compliance:

- Lead end-to-end accounting operations adhering to India GAAP and Singapore GAAP.

- Build and implement strong accounting processes and internal controls.

Taxation & Regulatory:

- Manage all tax compliances including GST, Income Tax, and statutory filings.

- Liaise with tax advisors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Payroll & Reporting:

- Ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing.

- Oversee preparation of financial statements, MIS, and Board reports.

- Manage statutory, internal, and external audits.

Stakeholder Management:

- Work closely with auditors, consultants, and external partners.

- Provide financial insights and updates to management and key stakeholders.

Technology & Automation:

- Drive finance automation and adoption of best-in-class tools for reporting, payroll, and compliance.

Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6+ years of experience.

- Strong background in startups, online/D2C, or high-growth environments.

- Solid understanding of Indian taxation (GST, Income Tax, etc.).

- Preferably from a Big 4 or similar audit background.

- Proven experience in automation, systems implementation, and technology-driven finance.

- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
