Finance Analyst

Description:

Experience : 10 - 13 years

Location : Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform core accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and reconciliations

- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for finance and accounting processes

- Support and drive ERP implementation and enhancement projects, including requirement gathering, testing, and deployment

- Analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights to support business and management decisions

- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance

- Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements

- Collaborate with IT, business teams, and vendors during finance system implementations

- Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives

- Support finance product-related initiatives and system integrations

Core Skills & Expertise:

- Strong knowledge of core accounting principles and practices

- Hands-on experience with financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliations

- Proven Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience in finance processes

- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)

- Understanding of finance products and financial operations

- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools

Stakeholder & Business Skills:

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

- Ability to work with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and leadership

- Experience translating business requirements into system or process solutions

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
