About Your Team:

- ISS Delivery provides the design and delivery of all changes in processes and/or technology solutions that support the growth for Fidelity's Global Investment Solutions & Services business (ISS).

- We support Investment Management, Asset Management Operations and Distribtion team primarily located in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Toronto, Australia, Singapore and China.

About Your Role:

- We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for Data Engineering to lead, grow, and inspire our team of data engineers.

- This role focuses on building a high-performing engineering culture, ensuring timely and reliable delivery of robust data solutions, and aligning the team's work with organizational priorities.

- While technical knowledge provides context, the emphasis is on leadership, delivery management, and stakeholder engagement.

- Strategic Impact

- As an Engineering Manager, you will directly contribute to our key organizational objectives:.

- Cost Efficiency. Improve productivity through automating routine maintenance tasks.

- Decrease time to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.

- Optimize infrastructure costs through efficient database design.

Risk Mitigation.

- Improve system documentation and knowledge transfer.

- Increase automated testing coverage.

- Enhance system and location resiliency.

Key Responsibilities.

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of data engineers, fostering career growth and high performance.

- Delivery Management: Own delivery timelines, scope, and outcomes for engineering projects, ensuring commitments are met with quality and consistency.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and technology leaders to define priorities, set realistic expectations, and provide transparent updates.

- Strategic Alignment: Translate business objectives into actionable team goals, balancing short-term project delivery with long-term platform evolution.

- Operational Excellence: Establish and enforce standards for delivery, documentation, quality, and reliability across all projects.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with Data Architecture, Product, and Cloud teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise-wide strategy.

- Change & Modernization: Oversee migration and modernization initiatives, ensuring seamless delivery and minimal disruption to business operations.

Essential Skills And Experience:

- 7+ years of experience in data or software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role.

- Demonstrated success in leading teams to deliver business-critical projects on time and within scope.

- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in communicating timelines, trade-offs, and decisions across technical and non-technical audiences.

- Proven ability to prioritize competing demands, manage dependencies, and drive alignment across multiple teams.
