
Job Purpose: To drive strategic growth initiatives for the Offline Business vertical by designing new channel expansion strategies, conducting in-depth business analysis, identifying opportunities for improvement, and refining existing product and process flows. The role involves close collaboration with business, product, credit, operations, and analytics teams to build a scalable and efficient offline ecosystem.
Principal Accountabilities:
Channel Strategy & Expansion:
- Develop and execute strategies to expand offline channels (DSA, Connectors, branches, partnerships, and feet-on-street).
- Evaluate new business pockets, target segments, and geographical expansion opportunities.
- Define partner selection frameworks, productivity benchmarks, and engagement models.
- Build scalable, repeatable formats for channel activation and performance ramp-up.
Business Insights & Analytics:
- Analyze business performance across funnels: lead login sanction disbursement early portfolio.
- Identify growth levers, revenue opportunities, leakages, and efficiency gaps across channels.
- Create dashboards, MIS, and strategic reports for senior leadership.
- Benchmark competition and industry trends to inform decision-making.
Product & Process Review:
- Map existing product journeys and operational flows end-to-end, highlighting inefficiencies and friction points.
- Recommend refined processes to improve TAT, reduce rejections, and enhance partner & customer experience.
- Work with Product, Tech, Credit, and Ops to implement redesigned flows.
- Assess the impact of policy and product changes across regions and channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Sales, Product, Credit, Operations, Risk, and Collections to align strategy with execution.
- Lead structured problem-solving workshops to identify bottlenecks and co-create solutions.
- Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders with data-backed recommendations.
- Track execution progress on strategic initiatives and publish weekly/monthly updates.
Strategic Projects & New Initiatives:
- Drive pilot programs for new channels, product features, incentive models, and partner formats.
- Conduct feasibility studies and business cases for new business lines or expansion models.
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle of strategic projects from proposition to rollout.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to measure effectiveness and optimize models.
Major Challenges:
- Balancing rapid expansion with quality and compliance requirements.
- Driving change in a high-growth environment with evolving policies and systems.
- Aligning diverse cross-functional teams on unified strategic priorities.
- Ensuring channel productivity while simplifying processes and customer journeys.
Key Decisions:
- Prioritization of markets, segments, and channels for expansion.
- Recommendations on product/process redesign and strategic solutions.
- Go/no-go decisions on pilot programs and new initiatives.
- Allocation of resources across strategic projects.
Internal & External Interactions:
- Internal: Sales, Credit, Operations, Risk, Collections, Product, Tech, Finance, HR, BI & Analytics.
- External: Channel partners, DSAs, vendors, consulting partners.
Role Dimensions:
- Strategic oversight for offline business footprint across all regions.
- Influence on revenue, funnel efficiency, partner productivity, and portfolio quality.
- Direct responsibility for strategic roadmap, process transformation, and pilot execution.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA / Post-Graduate (Finance/Marketing/Strategy preferred) from a reputed institute.
- 8-14 years of experience in Strategy / Business Planning / Channel Development / Fintech / Lending.
- Strong experience in business analytics, process design, and strategy implementation.
- Exposure to offline sales ecosystems (DSA / Connector / Branch / Field channels) preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong project management ability and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
