Role Overview:
- Lead enterprise-wide Risk & Collection Analytics to control losses, optimize recoveries, and improve portfolio profitability.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive data-led decisions across sourcing, policy, fraud, and collections.
- Build scalable analytics capabilities that proactively manage risk and cost of credit.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Governance:
- Set the vision, roadmap, and success metrics for Risk & Collection Analytics across the organization.
- Establish strong analytics governance, standardizing frameworks for segmentation, delinquency measurement, recovery prioritization, and performance tracking.
- Serve as a key contributor to credit strategy, sourcing policies, and collections operating models at leadership forums.
Portfolio Risk & Loss Management:
- Own analytical oversight of early delinquency, roll rates, flow rates, and vintage performance across products, geographies, sourcing channels, and partners.
- Drive proactive identification of emerging risk trends and translate insights into preventive policy actions and sourcing restrictions.
- Lead scenario analysis and stress testing to guide leadership decisions on risk appetite and portfolio expansion.
Collections & Recovery Optimization:
- Shape the end-to-end collections analytics framework, including risk-based allocation, channel strategy, and recovery prioritization.
- Drive reduction in C2X and downstream delinquency flows through segmentation-led interventions and optimized allocation strategies.
- Sponsor and scale agency accelerator programs and milestone-based campaigns to improve resolution speed, quality, and cost efficiency.
Cross-Functional Influence:
- Act as the single point of analytical leadership for Collections, Fraud Risk, Policy, and Business teams.
- Partner with field collections leadership to institutionalize feedback loops between ground realities and analytical models.
- Influence sourcing, underwriting, and fraud controls by embedding collections learnings upstream in the credit lifecycle.
Innovation & Transformation:
- Champion adoption of real-time bureau triggers, alternate data, and next-generation analytics to enhance collections effectiveness.
- Lead POCs and vendor partnerships, evaluating business impact and driving successful enterprise-wide rollouts.
- Continuously evolve analytical capabilities in line with portfolio scale, regulatory expectations, and market dynamics.
People Leadership:
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-impact analytics organization, developing future leaders and ensuring strong succession planning.
- Set performance standards, coach senior analysts/managers, and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and business impact.
P&L Ownership & Executive Reporting:
- Own portfolio-level P&L analytics, with accountability for cost of credit, recoveries, and profitability levers.
- Present actionable insights, trade-offs, and recommendations to Executive Committee and Board-level stakeholders.
- Drive initiatives that deliver measurable, sustainable improvement in portfolio returns.
