Role Overview:


We are hiring a Senior Sales Manager to drive and lead General Trade sales operations in Bangalore. The ideal candidate brings proven expertise in FMCG sales and distribution, a strong track record of achieving revenue targets, and the ability to build and manage a sales infrastructure from the ground up.


Key Responsibilities (KRAs):


- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and GMV targets in the assigned territory


- Build, manage, and scale a robust distribution and retail network across Bangalore


- Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of a high-performing sales team including Sales Representatives (SRs)


- Drive full territory coverage, ensuring maximum outlet reach and brand visibility


- Strategize and implement trade marketing initiatives and local sales activations


- Monitor and improve secondary sales performance and distributor ROI


- Conduct regular market visits to assess competition, gather insights, and take corrective actions


- Ensure timely collections and maintain strong control on credit cycles and outstanding receivables


- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to align business objectives


- Analyze sales data, prepare forecasts, and report performance metrics to leadership


- Act as a key representative of the brand in distributor and retail forums


Required Skillsets:


- 3 - 5 years of proven experience in General Trade sales within the FMCG or Consumer Goods industry


- Demonstrated success in handling Bangalore or similar metro markets


- Strong leadership and team management capabilities


- Excellent distributor handling, territory planning, and route-to-market development experience


- Strong understanding of retail sales dynamics and market intelligence


- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills


- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in tracking performance metrics and KPIs


- Bachelor's/Masters degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management
