Position Title: Factory Manager
Function: Manufacturing

- (Sr. Production Manager in a midsized factory; in Manufacturing and Maintenance function with 2-3 years as the Head of Factory Role Industry Preference: FMCG/Beverages/Food Processing Industry)

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the operations of the entire factory
- Review cost, quality and performance of the plant on an everyday basis
- Ensuring adherence to the Production Plan (PVA)
- Review production reports and variances; plan corrective actions and ensure implementation to ensure production costs and variances are minimized.
- Verify production plan, Communicate change in plan, if any, to Central Planning.
- On an ongoing basis, agree on schedule changes, if required with the Central Planning Team and Regional Replenishment Team.
- Review safety and food safety practices and ensure adherence to SOPs on a daily basis
- Drive improvements on practices (safety, cost controls, maintenance) from a long term perspective
- Initiate capex expenditure proposals (get approvals and execute)
- Check assumptions for various CERs (capex expense request) and accuracy of bills (execute validation of the bills submitted by vendors);
- Statutory compliance and licenses: Applying for and managing renewal of licenses, adherence to compliances (environment, factory license, FSS, pollution control, etc.)
- Review shop floor operations daily for checking adherence to Quality systems norms
- Work out improvement plans for Quality and Hygiene TO ensure requisite quality and safety standards and certifications are being adhered to Support Innovation
- Coordinate Plant Scale trials (Eg.1) , stabilization of commercial production of new SKU Lines along with Central Planning, Replenishment and Engineering
- Interact with R&D and marketing to understand the new product or SKU to be introduced; Determine specific equipment's, needs of up gradation for the unit and ensure procurement of machinery accordingly
Budgets:
- To aid with timely and accurate budgeting for the factory, confirm capacities on SKUs, number of working days/shifts available, and plant capabilities; Confirm direct costs, manpower requirement, M&R, other overheads and expansion budgets
- Responsible for managing and monitoring the production and conversion budgets of the unit
- Manage Labor Relations
- Participate in IR committee discussions; negotiation with Union; Signing & Implement the settlement, helping resolve any labor issues to maintain harmonious labor relations within the plant
- Managing Talent: Monitoring & reviewing performance levels; provide developmental plans for people, recommend increments & promotions
