Factory Head:

Exceptional manufacturing is built on operational discipline, technical excellence, and strong leadership. We are seeking an experienced Factory Head to lead our manufacturing operations in West Bengal, driving productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the plant.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for the overall performance of the manufacturing facility. The Factory Head will oversee production, engineering, maintenance, quality, supply chain coordination, EHS, and workforce management while ensuring that operational objectives are achieved efficiently, safely, and sustainably.

Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end factory operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with business objectives and long-term growth plans.

- Ensure efficient production planning, capacity utilisation, and resource optimisation.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and Operational Excellence methodologies.

- Maintain the highest standards of product quality while ensuring compliance with applicable industry regulations and company standards.

- Oversee engineering, maintenance, utilities, and plant infrastructure to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.

- Ensure adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and promote a strong safety culture across the facility.

- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Sales, and Finance to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

- Monitor production performance through KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve operational efficiency.

- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, and cost optimisation.

Qualifications:

- BE/B.Tech.

- MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Operations Management is preferred.

Experience:

- 15-20 years of progressive manufacturing experience in engineering, electrical equipment, power transmission, heavy engineering, automotive, industrial manufacturing, or related sectors.

- Minimum 5 years of experience as Plant Head, Factory Head, Manufacturing Head, or Operations Head.

- Proven experience managing large manufacturing teams and multi-functional operations.
