Role Overview:

The Facility Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities management for our Chennai operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive environment for all employees and stakeholders. This role involves strategic planning, operational management, and vendor oversight to maintain high standards of service delivery. The Facility Director collaborates closely with regional leadership, internal teams (including IT, HR, and Finance), and external service providers to optimize facility performance and contribute to the overall success of the organization. This role directly impacts employee satisfaction, operational efficiency, and the company's bottom line by ensuring a well-maintained and functional workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.

- Oversee all facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, security, and utilities management, to guarantee a safe, comfortable, and functional work environment for all employees.

- Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to budgetary guidelines, to maintain cost control and operational efficiency.

- Lead and mentor a team of facilities management professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, to enhance team performance and achieve organizational goals.

- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, mitigating risks and promoting a safe and sustainable workplace for all occupants.

- Develop and manage the facilities budget, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings, to optimize resource allocation and improve financial performance.

- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs for all building systems and equipment, minimising downtime and extending the lifespan of assets, to ensure operational reliability and reduce long-term costs.

- Coordinate space planning and office renovations, ensuring efficient use of space and alignment with business needs, to support organizational growth and enhance employee productivity.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive facilities management strategies that align with organizational goals, coupled with a strong understanding of financial management principles and budgeting processes.

- Proven expertise in managing and negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to budgetary guidelines.

- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Deep knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and promote a safe and sustainable workplace.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred.

- Ability to work effectively in an on-site work environment in Chennai.
