Role Overview:

We are looking for a Finance Manager who has prior experience of setting up finance functions in a start up. This is a high-impact role with direct visibility to founders and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Finance Process Setup & Ownership

- Design and implement end-to-end finance processes suitable for a scaling startup

- Set up monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes

- Establish internal controls, approval workflows, and documentation standards

2. Salary, Payroll & Compliance

- Manage monthly salary processing, reimbursements, and incentives

- Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, TDS, GST, Professional Tax, etc.

- Coordinate with external payroll vendors, CAs, and consultants

3. Vendor Payments & Cash Flow

- Set up structured vendor payment cycles and approval mechanisms

- Manage cash flow planning, payment prioritization, and reconciliations

- Maintain vendor records, contracts, and payment schedules

4. Accounting & Reporting

- Oversee bookkeeping and ensure accurate accounting records

- Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, P&L, and balance sheets

- Work closely with founders to support fundraising, budgeting, and forecasting

- Act as the single point of ownership for all finance-related matters

Whats Already Set Up (So You Can Focus on Scale):

Core operations are running smoothly for 2+ years with a contractual finance team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Min 5-7 years of experience in finance roles

- Prior experience in startups or process-setup roles is mandatory

- Has independently set up finance or accounting processes in the past

- Strong understanding of Indian statutory compliance
