EY - Urban Planning Expert - Urban Governance - GPS Advisory

Job Description

EY's Government & Public Sector (GPS) Advisory practice is seeking Urban Planning Experts to support city development, sanitation, and municipal infrastructure programs. The role demands knowledge of urban planning standards, DPR preparation/review, and sanitation/infrastructure design norms, coupled with consulting skills in policy advisory and program implementation.

Key Responsibilities

a) Prepare and review city development plans, sanitation plans, and DPRs for urban infrastructure projects.

b) Provide advisory support for AMRUT, Smart Cities, and Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) initiatives.

c) Monitor compliance with CPHEEO norms, urban design standards, and master planning guidelines.

d) Support capacity building of ULBs and municipal officials through training/workshops.

e) Consulting Add-on: Benchmark global best practices, prepare strategy decks, and contribute to EY knowledge reports.

Requirements

a) Bachelor's/Master's/M.Plan in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Architecture, or Urban Design.

b) Minimum 5 years' experience in urban planning, sanitation, or municipal infrastructure.

c) Preferred: Big 4/top-tier consulting experience in city planning/infra advisory.

d) Strong skills in DPR evaluation, policy integration, and client-facing presentations.
