Role Overview:
Provide strategic leadership to the Project Management Unit (PMU) for driving investment promotion, regulatory reforms, and Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) initiatives, ensuring effective coordination with government stakeholders and timely delivery of high quality outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the PMU as the overall project head and act as the single point of contact for the client.
- Provide strategic advisory on regulatory reforms, Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), investment promotion, and policy implementation.
- Coordinate closely with State Government departments and Government of India agencies for regulatory approvals, clearances, and investment facilitation.
- Oversee planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, and quality standards.
- Review, validate, and approve all deliverables submitted by the PMU team.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Government of India guidelines, policies, and instructions.
- Provide strategic inputs to enhance investor experience through process simplification and regulatory improvements.
- Support development and implementation of sector promotion strategies and investment outreach initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder consultations and inter-departmental coordination to resolve bottlenecks.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in economics / marketing / planning / management (MBA / PGDBM) or equivalent.
- Minimum 12 years of overall professional experience.
- At least 5 years of full-time experience working with State/Central Government or their agencies.
- Proven experience in investment promotion, regulatory reforms, policy implementation, Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), or economic development projects.
- Strong understanding of government processes, regulatory frameworks, and institutional mechanisms.
- Demonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
