EY Parthenon : Senior Associate / Consultant

Strategy, Commercial Strategy & Private Equity

The Opportunity:

EYParthenon is one of the worlds leading strategy consultancies, combining deep strategic thinking with EYs global execution capabilities. As a Senior Associate / Consultant, you will work at the intersection of corporate strategy, commercial strategy, and private equity, helping clients navigate complexity, unlock value, and accelerate growth.

You will support CEOs, Boards, Private Equity firms, and business leaders by developing actionable strategies, leading analyses, supporting transactions, and delivering measurable impact across industries.

This role offers exposure to high profile strategic engagements, commercial transformations, and transaction-driven work empowering you to grow as a well rounded strategist and advisor.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Problem Solving & Analysis:

- Identify and structure clients most critical strategic, commercial, and investment questions.

- Conduct advanced quantitative and qualitative analyses, including:

- Market sizing, segmentation, competitor analysis

- Commercial diagnostics (sales, pricing, marketing, customer experience)

- Financial modeling, business plan assessment, and value driver analysis

- Macroeconomic and industry trend forecasting

- Synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

2. Commercial Strategy & Value Creation:

- Support development of corporate and business unit strategies.

- Drive go to market (traditional, digital, hybrid) strategy design and commercial transformation initiatives.

- Evaluate and optimize commercial functions including sales, pricing, marketing, customer service, and revenue operations.


- Identify revenue growth, margin improvement, and customer value opportunities.

3. Private Equity Strategy & Transactions:

- Support commercial due diligence (CDD), growth due diligence, and target screening.

- Assess market attractiveness, competitive positioning, customer behavior, and strategic risks/opportunities.

- Conduct deep diligence research using analyst reports, expert interviews, customer calls, and financial performance review.

- Prepare investment grade insights and value creation theses for PE clients.

4. Client & Team Leadership:

- Act as the day to day contact for clients and internal stakeholders.

- Develop work plans, guide analytical modules, and ensure high quality deliverables.

- Manage and mentor Associates and Analysts on research, analysis, and project workstreams.

- Build strong client relationships through clear communication, trust, and ownership.

5. Business Development & Practice Growth:

- Contribute to proposals, pursuit materials, and thought leadership.

- Support development of frameworks, benchmarks, and sector insights.

- Champion use of AI-enabled tools (including Microsoft Copilot) to enhance delivery quality.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:

- MBA from a premier institute (Tier-I Indian B-school) with a focus on leading delivery of consulting projects in a professional services environment

- Preferred : 2-4 years of professional experience (post MBA) with experience in strategy consulting, commercial strategy, private equity, investment banking, or market/financial analysis.

Demonstrated experience in:

- Corporate or BU strategy

- Commercial strategy, GTM, pricing, sales or marketing analytics

- Market research, competitive intelligence

- Due diligence or transaction support

- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.

- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple workstreams.

- Willingness to travel as needed (approx. 2560%, depending on engagement type).

Ideally, You Will Also Have:

- Proven experience in commercial strategy, CDD, or value creation roles.

- Prior experience in professional services or consulting.

- Familiarity with AI-driven tools to enhance quality and efficiency.

- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
