Job Summary:  The Mobility leader for the GDN is responsible for mobility into, out of, and between the Global Talent Hubs (GTH) and Global Shared Services (GSS) operations (together which make the GDN).   - This role is responsible for both strategic and operational mobility activities within the GDN and leads a team of mobility professionals with experience and expertise related to international mobility and assignment management.   - The GDN Mobility Leader is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership to the GDN function and service line leaders and technical support and training for his/her team in cooperation with other functions of GDN.   - He or she will ensure integration and adherence to EY mobility processes and policies and work closely with counterparts across the Mobility organization. This is a virtual team with individuals located in various GDN centers around the world. While some GDN locations will not have a designated mobility function (due to lack of volume), each location as a nominated Mobility contact.   - The Mobility Leader will work with respective contacts and counterparts in the Regional / Area or Global Mobility team to ensure effective, efficient and compliant support for mobility in that location is provided. This role reports into the Talent Leader for the GDN.  Essential Functions of the Job:  - Develop and drive a mobility strategy for the GSS and GTH functions which aligns to and supports an aggressive growth agenda.  - Integrate mobility strategy, programs and opportunities into the broader Talent agenda working with and through the rest of the GDN Talent organization with a focus on development, retention and high potentials, including performance management and repatriation of assignees  - Drive efficient, compliant and swift cross border movement of people and establish processes that ensure fast and fair decision on the movement of people that leverages efficiencies and delivers a positive experience to GDN assignees and transfers.  - Develop and run mobility programs within the GDN network in line with EY mobility policies and leverage other global programs as appropriate (e.g. New Horizons)  - Support compliant and efficient cross border business travel (less than 3 months) working in tandem with the Cross Border Travel Services team (CBTS)  - Responsible for the effective operation of EY Limited, UK branch operations in India; liaising with Global Finance (Tax) leadership  - Establish and provide management information (quantitative and qualitative) on all cross border moves within and to GDN locations to measure success of mobility initiatives and suggest actions and solutions for impact  - Establish and maintain a highly engaged (virtual) team across the GDN organization.  - Proactively drive implementation of the International Mobility Framework and contribute to other EY mobility initiatives (such as new global mobility tool implementation, policy reviews etc.) on behalf of GDN  - Monitor compliance of Global Mobility Policies within the GDN and provide feedback on policies & guidelines to Global Mobility function for consideration.  - Provide support and guidance to GSS mobility coordinators relating to general mobility issues, technical questions, IMF policies and individual assignments  - Ensure mobility coordinators are provided with appropriate training (technical and non-technical)  - Partner with finance to understand and ensure effective cost management and charging processes between GDN and member firms are in place for assignees.  Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:  - Makes key decisions and suggestions based on a solid understanding of mobility principles, EY and business objectives and needs analysis.  - Interactions with others are often aimed at influencing, negotiating and finalizing decisions  - Responsible for interpreting data related to mobility or other people metrics  - Assesses situations to determine risk mitigation and escalates to appropriate parties (e.g. Risk management group, GCO, Talent leader etc.)  - Provide input to EY policy discussions representing diverse set of constituents to ensure global policy decisions reflect and support GDN needs.  - Strong experience related to financial and economic aspects of expatriate policies (e.g. currency, balance sheet, tax equalization) and ability to translate complex information for resolution  Supervision Responsibilities:  Supervision of GDN location mobility leads and teams within the GDN centers.
