Manager - Strategy & Transactions - Strategy Execution
The opportunity
Transaction Strategy & Execution team advises and supports clients through the complete deal lifecycle providing a range of sell-side and buy-side services to clients. Services range from complex due diligence, post-merger integration, carve out/ separation, post deal value enhancement through to corporate restructuring. The team deliver buy side and sell side engagements for corporate firms and private equity houses across the transaction lifecycle.
Your key responsibilities
- Have transactions (deals) / Finance background including carve out or integrations experience, financial due diligence experience, or a deep understanding of core aspects of a typical finance function
- Be a professional consultant or have undertaken a significant number of internal
consultancy or project management roles within a "blue-chip" organization
- Have strong financial skills including ability to navigate, understand and analyses detailed P&L, BS and CF
- Have strong commercial acumen, business diagnostic and analytical skills, project management capability and pitching / sales skills
- Be confident in working with top level management and senior stakeholder
- Experience in the below areas is desirable:
- M&A / Transaction due diligence
- Finance processes (i.e. P2P, O2C, R2C, inventory valuation, tax, treasury, FP&A, etc.)
- Financial reporting and management reporting (Business MIS)
- ERP systems
- Financial and operational controls
- Accounting standards
- Data analytics
- Pricing analytics
- Assessment of potential merger synergies
- Post-acquisition integration (Day 1/ Day 100 plan)
- Separation and carve-outs
- Operational change and project management
Skills and attributes for success
- Significant ability to analyze situations, making the most of available information, provide a coherent summary of the current position and logical, pragmatic, and imaginative recommendations for improvements
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Flexible with timing, working locations, ability to learn quickly and leverage skills in new situations
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Post graduate degree/ CA with 3-6 years of work experience with exposure to at least 2 of the areas mentioned above
Ideally, you'll also have
- Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.
- Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
- Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility.
