Role Overview:

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) role within the Government Finance practice focuses on providing high-level financial advisory and analytical support to public sector clients. You will work closely with government stakeholders and internal project teams to translate complex policy objectives into actionable financial frameworks. By managing budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring, you will play a critical role in ensuring fiscal discipline and optimizing the allocation of public funds for large-scale infrastructure and social development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop comprehensive financial models to evaluate the feasibility of government-led projects and public-private partnerships.

- Lead the annual budgeting and long-term forecasting processes to ensure alignment with departmental fiscal goals.

- Prepare detailed Management Information System (MIS) reports to provide senior government officials with actionable insights on expenditure and revenue trends.

- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between planned budgets and actual spending, recommending corrective actions to maintain financial health.

- Design strategic financial frameworks that support policy implementation and long-term economic sustainability for public sector initiatives.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting processes and improve the accuracy of data-driven decision-making.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and quantitative analysis, with the ability to translate complex data into clear strategic recommendations.

- Strong proficiency in managing end-to-end financial planning cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present technical financial information to non-financial government stakeholders and senior leadership.

- Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools, with a focus on building robust MIS dashboards.

- A professional qualification such as CA, MBA (Finance), or CFA is preferred, combined with 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site client engagements with collaborative team sessions in the Delhi NCR region.
