Role Overview:
This role is with our client based in Bangalore.
We are seeking a seasoned Direct Taxation Specialist to join our finance team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end direct tax lifecycle, ensuring seamless compliance with Indian tax regulations while optimizing the organizations tax position. You will work closely with cross-functional finance teams, external consultants, and regulatory authorities to navigate complex tax landscapes. Your expertise will directly influence the companys financial health by mitigating tax risks, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing strategic insights that support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end corporate tax compliance process, including the preparation and filing of income tax returns, to ensure adherence to statutory deadlines and minimize non-compliance risks.
- Oversee the execution of tax audits, coordinating with internal and external auditors to provide accurate documentation and resolve queries efficiently.
- Lead tax reporting initiatives by preparing detailed tax provisions and reconciliations under Local GAAP to maintain transparency and accuracy in financial statements.
- Monitor changes in Indian taxation laws and regulations to proactively advise leadership on potential impacts and necessary adjustments to business operations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide tax-efficient structuring advice for business transactions, directly contributing to the organization's bottom-line performance.
Required Skillset:
- Possess deep technical expertise in Indian taxation, with a proven ability to interpret and apply complex income tax laws to corporate scenarios.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Local GAAP and accounting principles, ensuring that tax reporting is seamlessly integrated with broader financial reporting cycles.
- Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-finance stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Maintain a proactive approach to managing tax audits and regulatory inquiries, demonstrating high attention to detail and professional integrity.
- Hold a professional qualification such as CA or an equivalent advanced degree in Finance or Taxation, reflecting a strong academic foundation.
- Thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment in Bangalore, demonstrating the agility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
