The opportunity :
EY - Credit and Climate - Business Consulting Risk - FSRM
Our FSRM team is a fast-moving, high-growth area with huge potential. It offers variety, challenge, responsibility and the opportunity to realize your leadership potential.
Our Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) practice focuses on risk management, regulatory, quantitative, and technology backgrounds. The breadth of experiences of FSRM professionals enables the practice to coordinate the delivery of a broad array of risk management services to capital market participants throughout the world in a well-integrated manner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Delivery & Project Management
- Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of credit risk and climate risk engagements for global and domestic banks and NBFCs.
- Oversee development and validation of risk models including PD, LGD, EAD, IFRS 9 impairment models, stress testing frameworks, ICAAP components, and IRB models.
- Guide clients on adoption of climate risk methodologies, including ISSB-aligned reporting, scenario analysis, and climate stress testing.
- Ensure high-quality output within defined timelines while adhering to regulatory and internal quality standards.
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact for senior client stakeholders, independently managing expectations and escalations.
2. Business Development
- Support development of proposals, pitch decks, and solution offerings across credit risk, climate risk, and regulatory risk services.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling within existing accounts.
- Contribute to thought leadership, whitepapers, and market insights.
3. Team Leadership & People Development
- Lead and mentor a team of 6-7 consultants/analysts across multiple engagements.
- Provide technical guidance, review deliverables, and ensure team capability enhancement.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with senior leadership to shape go-to-market strategies for credit and climate risk solutions.
- Facilitate workshops, client training sessions, and discussions with regulators when required.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in credit risk, model development/validation, stress testing, IFRS 9, ICAAP, IRB frameworks, and climate risk (ISSB, climate scenario analysis).
- Experience working with both global and domestic Banks and NBFC clients.
- Consulting background with prior experience in Big 4 or other reputable consulting firms highly preferred.
- Proven ability to independently manage large, multi-stakeholder client engagements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with hands-on experience in statistical modelling tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS) - optional based on requirement.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
- Availability to join within 45 days or less.
Skills and attributes :
In addition to technical competence, what will set you up for success at EY is your ability to:
- Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or relevant quantitative field.
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, or equivalent are preferred but not mandator
