Key Responsibilities
Export Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to expand business in international markets.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new distributors, agents, and clients globally.
- Drive revenue growth by meeting and exceeding export sales targets.
Market Research & Expansion:
- Conduct in-depth research to identify new market opportunities and emerging trends.
- Monitor competitor activities and benchmark best practices.
- Recommend entry strategies for new territories.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build, maintain, and grow long-term partnerships with international clients.
- Handle client queries, resolve issues, and provide efficient after-sales support.
- Enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Oversee preparation and verification of export documentation, including invoices, letters of credit, and certificates.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and INCOTERMS.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies as required.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth and timely order execution.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and clearing agents for seamless delivery.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and share regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards with management.
- Analyze sales data, identify gaps, and recommend improvements in strategy and execution.
Key Qualifications
Education
- MBA/PGDM in International Business, Marketing, or related field.
Experience
- 5-7 years of proven experience in export sales, preferably within FMCG or foodservice (HORECA) industry.
- Demonstrated success in driving export growth and achieving international sales targets.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) with cross-cultural awareness.
- In-depth knowledge of export documentation, INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to travel internationally as required.
