Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Market Expansion:
- Identify and develop new international markets for snacks and namkeen products across Asia, Middle East, Africa, and North America.
- Appoint, negotiate, and manage importers, distributors, and channel partners.
- Conduct market research to analyze competition, product demand, pricing, and consumer trends in target markets.
- Participate in international trade fairs and exhibitions to promote the brand and build business relations.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Develop and execute annual export sales plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Drive primary sales growth through distributor appointments and institutional tie-ups.
- Achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives for export business.
- Monitor distributor performance and implement corrective actions.
Regulatory & Compliance Management:
- Ensure compliance with export documentation, customs, and international trade regulations.
- Coordinate with legal and quality teams for product registrations, certifications (FSSAI, FDA, ISO, Halal, etc.), and export documentation.
- Manage shipping, logistics, and export procedures in coordination with the supply chain team.
Product & Marketing Support:
- Customize product portfolio, packaging, labeling, and grammage as per country-specific norms.
- Work with marketing teams to design export-specific promotions, visibility plans, and trade schemes.
- Provide market intelligence to management on competitor activity and pricing strategies.
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with production, supply chain, and finance teams for timely execution of export orders.
- Train and guide internal teams on export documentation and customer requirements.
- Build long-term relationships with overseas partners to ensure sustainable business growth.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of international trade, export procedures, and documentation.
- Proven experience in developing international distributor networks.
- Commercial acumen with strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Understanding of FMCG food industry dynamics and global consumer trends.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (knowledge of additional foreign languages will be an advantage).
- Ability to travel extensively for business development.
