Role Overview:

EXL is looking for a Data Analytics Manager who can turn complex datasets into meaningful business insights. This role sits at the intersection of data, storytelling, and decision-making, supporting stakeholders with actionable intelligence through dashboards, reporting, and analytical deep-dives.

You will work closely with business teams to understand performance drivers, track KPIs, identify trends, and recommend data-backed improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who enjoy owning analytics end-to-end - from data extraction to insight delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and performance gaps

- Define, track, and interpret business KPIs, metrics, and variance drivers

- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau

Use SQL to perform:

- Data extraction and transformation

- Complex joins and aggregations

- Data validation and quality checks

- Translate analytical findings into clear, business-friendly insights and recommendations

- Support stakeholders with ad-hoc analysis and performance reporting

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data visibility and decision-making

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports

- Contribute to improving reporting frameworks and analytics processes

Required Skills & Experience:

- 3-8 years of experience in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence / Reporting roles

Strong understanding of:

- KPI's & performance metrics

- Trend analysis

- Variance analysis

- Data interpretation techniques

- Hands-on expertise in Tableau dashboard development

Strong SQL skills:

- Writing complex queries

- Joins, aggregations, subqueries

- Data validation and reconciliation

- Ability to derive actionable insights, not just generate reports

- Excellent communication skills - ability to explain data to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

- Experience working with multiple data sources (databases, flat files, BI tools)

- Basic exposure to data modeling concepts or BI best practices

- Prior experience in client-facing roles or stakeholder management

- Understanding of reporting automation and dashboard optimization
