Role & responsibilities:
- A successful candidate would work as a EXL consultant with a leading US Financial Service Organization on an unsecured portfolio.
The job will require the consultant to work on:
- Analyze customer credit profiles, transaction patterns, and repayment behavior to recommend credit limit adjustments in both proactive and reactive scenarios.
- Develop and refine risk models, decision frameworks, and scoring methodologies for credit limit increase decisions.
- Monitor portfolio performance, early warning indicators, and risk trends, escalating concerns as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including underwriting, fraud prevention, compliance, and customer experience to implement risk controls and enhance credit policies.
- Design and execute scenario analysis to assess potential risk exposures.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, responsible lending practices, and internal credit guidelines.
- Support reporting and governance by preparing insights for senior management, audit, and compliance reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- 4-9 years experience in analytics and decision science.
- Strong understanding of credit scoring models, limit management frameworks, and portfolio risk analytics.
- Risk analytics experience : Portfolio Analytics , Acquisition and Line Management, Policy and audit analysis, Reporting / Dashboarding, Performance tracking (should have a knowledge of risk concepts like delinquencies , pre-payments and loss-curves ect.)
- Proficiency in SQL, SAS ,Python; familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
