Core Job Responsibilities:
- Treaty Structuring & Placement: Design and place proportional (Quota Share/Surplus) and non-proportional (Excess of Loss/Stop Loss) treaties, covering entire portfolios rather than individual risks.
- Business Procurement & Relationship Management: Identify, approach, and maintain strong relationships with domestic (e.g., GIC Re) and international reinsurers and brokers.
- Technical Analysis & Risk Assessment: Analyze client underwriting portfolios, loss history, and risk retention philosophy to provide technical data for reinsurance pricing.
- Market Negotiation & Placement: Negotiate competitive treaty terms, including commission, rates, and coverage limits.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations on reinsurance
- Claims & Accounts Management: Assist in claims negotiation, settlement, and premium remittance to ensure proper cash flow between insurer and reinsurer

What you need to have:
- 12-15 years of proven experience in reinsurance broking or a related client-facing reinsurance role, in India
- Strong understanding of treaty and facultative placements, all lines of reinsurance
- Excellent working knowledge of Indian and international reinsurance markets.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work flexibly within a team.
- Education - Graduate / Post Graduate
