Educational Qualification:
- B.Tech (Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Electrical or equivalent) Mandatory
- MBA in Operations / Business Administration Mandatory
Experience Profile:
- 5- 10 years in manufacturing / plant operations / corporate manufacturing & supply chain strategy
- Exposure to multi-plant operations preferred, cross-functional business leadership
- Experience in preparing annual operating plan, capex tracking, civil factory infrastructure projects, digital & IIoT initiatives, vendor management desirable, sound knowledge of the product life cycle & product costing regimes
Key Responsibilities:
A. Manufacturing Governance & MIS Consolidation:
- Consolidate and standardize Manufacturing MIS across all units
- Harmonize KPIs (OEE, yield, cost/kg, rejection %, productivity, energy metrics, inventory turns)
- Ensure data integrity and reporting discipline
- Prepare structured dashboards and analytical insights
- Drive closure of review action points within defined timelines
B. Financial Governance & Budgetary Controls:
- Consolidate plant-level cost data and conduct structured variance analysis
- Monitor cost/kg trends across units (RM, power, labour, overhead absorption)
- Track manufacturing capex and opex budgets
- Support capex financial evaluation (ROI, IRR, payback analysis)
- Conduct post-investment performance tracking vs approved business case
- Analyze working capital impact (inventory days, WIP, FG turns)
- Identify cost optimization levers and quantify financial impact
- Prepare structured financial dashboards for Jt. Managing Director review
C. Strategic Projects (Greenfield / Brownfield):
- Track capex projects against scope, timelines, and approved budgets
- Coordinate with Projects, Engineering, Procurement, and Plant Heads
- Identify risks and structure escalation briefs
- Monitor adherence to approved investment plans
D. IT & Digital Enablement:
- Coordinate ERP / MES / automation initiatives
- Interface between Corporate IT and plant teams
- Ensure milestone tracking and adoption discipline
- Escalate systemic risks proactively
E. Vendor & Technology Management:
- Support techno-commercial evaluation of strategic vendors
- Monitor vendor performance metrics
- Facilitate technology upgrades and modernization initiatives
F. NPD & R&D Coordination:
- Drive product development, technical validation, standard compliance (ISI/industry norms), and successful market transition
- Ensure cross-functional coordination
- Escalate risks impacting commercialization timelines
G. Executive & Strategic Support:
- Prepare leadership and board-level presentations
- Draft strategic notes, concept briefs, and executive summaries
- Maintain trackers for commitments made during reviews
- Create seamless communication channels across functions
H. Process Stabilization & Preventive Structuring:
- Troubleshoot cross-functional bottlenecks
- Identify recurring operational concerns
- Develop SOPs and preventive controls to avoid recurrence
- Shift focus from reactive firefighting to preventive systems
