Job Description:
Excel Maritime is looking for a highly driven and experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead business growth in the Freight Forwarding and Logistics sector. The candidate must have proven expertise in sales, client acquisition, and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify and convert new business opportunities in logistics and freight forwarding.
- Business Expansion: Develop and execute strategies to enhance revenue and market presence.
- Target Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Market Research & Analysis: Track industry trends, competitor insights, and emerging business opportunities.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistics sales and business development.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, documentation, and international shipping processes.
- Demonstrated ability in lead generation and meeting sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related fields.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in business development/sales within the logistics industry.
