Responsibilities: Overall: Building the Portfolio Management Play book for the VC Fund and executing it. Portfolio Management: - Oversee the performance of portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and investment objectives. - Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and recommendations to portfolio companies. - Develop and implement strategies to optimize the growth and profitability of portfolio companies. Strategic Support: - Work closely with portfolio company leadership to develop and refine business strategies. - Identify and support growth opportunities, market expansion, and new product launches. - Provide strategic guidance on key operational areas, including marketing, sales, product development, and human resources. Financial Oversight: - Monitor financial performance and key metrics of portfolio companies. - Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for portfolio companies. - Ensure effective financial controls and risk management practices are in place. Board Representation: - Serve as a board member or observer for portfolio companies as required. - Provide strategic input and oversight during board meetings. - Ensure effective governance and compliance with regulatory requirements. Follow On Investment: - Building and Presenting the case to the CF Investment Committee to Follow On or Not to Follow On Network Building: - Leverage the VC firm's network to create strategic partnerships for portfolio companies. - Facilitate introductions to potential customers, partners, and industry experts. - Organize networking events, workshops, and mentoring sessions to foster connections. Exit Planning: - Execute exit strategies for portfolio companies. - Assist in preparing companies for exit through IPOs, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), or secondary sales. - Identify and engage potential buyers, including strategic acquirers and financial investors. Market Analysis: - Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and competitive dynamics. - Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to inform portfolio company strategies. - Continuously update knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in the VC ecosystem.
