Eversendai - Chief Operating Officer/Vice President - Engineering & Construction

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Leader for a Top Management role (COO / VP) to lead Eversendai India Operations to drive our Civil, Composite & Structural Steel project business. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in leadership, strategy, and project execution in the Engineering & Construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership & Strategy: Provide overall direction and execute strategy to lead the Civil, Composite & Structural Steel projects / business.

- Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement plans to ensure operational effectiveness and to focus on Profit Margins.

- Operational Optimization: Streamline and optimize daily operations to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

- Project Management: Oversee project management from conceptual development to final construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within the budget.

- Tendering & Contracts: Manage the tendering process and contracts for new and existing projects, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and optimizing contract terms for the benefit of the organization.

- Execution Planning: Transform company leadership requirements into executable plans with clearly defined milestones and targets.

- Business Opportunities: Identify major business opportunities in Structural Steel, Civil, and composite-related projects across India.

- Market Analysis: Understand market dynamics, trends, and client needs to inform the go-to-market strategy.

- Market & Project Identification: Identify niche segments and projects aligned with the organization's brand values and strengths.

- Growth & Profitability: Drive growth and profitability in existing and future projects.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify solutions to business problems and streamline processes, with client satisfaction

- Implementation of Policies & Procedures: Ensure the effective implementation of Company's policies and procedures across all locations and departments.

- Internal Auditing: Fostering effective Internal Audit function within the organisation.

- Business Development: Responsible to explore expansive business opportunities and operations of the Project Management & Engineering vertical.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 20+ years of experience with at least 5 years in a leadership position managing medium to large project teams and executing large projects.

Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience in Engineering & Construction industry.

Current Role: Candidate should currently be heading a business unit at a Director, CEO or VP level, managing Engineering & Construction functions.

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil).

Location: Chennai, TN

Language Preferred: English / Hindi / Tamil / Telugu / Kannada
