Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Territory Sales Head Insurance to lead and scale insurance sales for the Bengaluru territory. This role carries complete ownership of growth and revenue, management of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), and development of a high performing advisor/agent network. The role demands strong execution discipline, deep understanding of insurance distribution, and the ability to present data-driven insights and performance updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Territory Ownership & Revenue Growth:

- Own overall insurance revenue, growth targets, and market expansion for the Bengaluru territory.

- Define and execute territory-level insurance sales strategies aligned with company objectives.

- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual target achievement across individual and advisor-led channels.

- Identify new distribution opportunities, partnerships, and high-potential micro markets.

Team Leadership & ASM Management:

- Lead, coach, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs).

- Set performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and provide field-level guidance.

- Support ASMs in deal closures, escalations, and productivity improvement.

- Build a strong, compliant, and performance-driven sales culture.

Advisor / Agent Management:

- Build, onboard, train, and manage a robust network of insurance advisors/agents.

- Drive advisor productivity through structured training, incentives, and engagement programs.

- Ensure advisors follow regulatory guidelines, product suitability norms, and company processes.

- Track advisor performance, persistency, and contribution to territory revenue.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting:

- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of sales activities, advisor performance, and territory metrics.

- Prepare and present MIS reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards to senior leadership.

- Share market trends, competitive insights, and customer feedback with key stakeholders.

- Act as a single point of contact for territory-level performance discussions.

Process, Compliance & Governance:

- Ensure strict adherence to insurance compliance, documentation, and regulatory requirements.

- Drive CRM discipline, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness across the territory.

- Monitor funnel health, conversion ratios, persistency, and renewal metrics.

- Implement best practices to ensure predictable and sustainable growth.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- 6 to 8 years of experience in insurance sales with strong exposure to territory or regional leadership.

- Proven experience managing Area Sales Managers and insurance advisor/agent networks.

- Strong understanding of life/health insurance distribution models.

- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, advisor productivity, and market expansion.

- Excellent analytical, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

- Hands-on experience with CRM systems, MIS reporting, and sales dashboards.

- High integrity, compliance-first mindset, and strong execution ownership.
